Managing payroll taxes and employee benefits across multiple countries is one of the more complex and time-consuming responsibilities in global finance operations. Different regulatory requirements, fragmented payroll structures, and heavy reliance on manual reconciliation often create delays in monthly financial close processes and increase the risk of reporting inconsistencies. These challenges become even more critical in large multinational organizations operating across several legal entities and accounting environments. This study presents a practical automation framework implemented within Oracle General Ledger (R12) to streamline the reconciliation and allocation of Benefits and Tax (BNT) and Compensation and Benefits (CBEN) accounts. The solution combines a redesigned Chart of Accounts (COA) structure with a dual-batch Mass Allocation logic to automate calculations and postings across 29 global entities. The implementation reduced monthly processing Turnaround Time (TAT) from nearly 40 hours to just 2 hours, achieving a 95% improvement in operational efficiency. In addition to reducing manual effort, the framework strengthened audit traceability, improved SOX compliance readiness, and demonstrated how targeted ERP automation can support broader digital transformation initiatives in enterprise finance.
